Our Beef Boerewors is made in South Africa and is a top seller. It’s a farm-style beef sausage perfect for braais, barbecues and fry ups. This traditional South African beef boerewors is flavoured with clove, coriander & nutmeg and is a must-try to see what all the fuss is about.
Boerewors (boor-uh-vors) – literally means ‘farmers sausage’ in Afrikaans. Boerewors is traditionally cooked on the braai or barbecue but like any good sausage, can be cooked on a grill or in the oven.
Cook and colour on a medium heat, taking care not to overcook or burn the casing (turn regularly).
Remove from the BBQ with a small blushing dot of pink meat in the middle of the wors, and rest until mince is browned through.
Best eaten hot so don’t mess around and wait for your friends to plate up.
