Our Grass-fed Beef Mince is made from 100% New Zealand grass-fed beef — a clean 90/10 lean-to-fat ratio that delivers flavour without excess grease. Versatile, convenient and packed with protein, this is the everyday hero of family cooking: bolognese, burgers, meatballs, chilli con carne, shepherd's pie and beyond.

Grass-fed beef has a cleaner, more mineral flavour than grain-fed — the result of cattle grazing on open pastures rather than feedlots. The 10% fat content is enough to keep the mince moist and flavourful during cooking without pooling excess oil in the pan. Finely ground for even cooking and smooth texture in sauces.

For bolognese: brown the mince in batches over high heat (don't crowd the pan), then build your sauce. For burgers: handle gently, season generously with salt and pepper, and cook over high heat for a crusty exterior. For meatballs: mix with breadcrumbs, egg and herbs, then bake at 200°C for 15 minutes.

Delivered frozen. Freeze on receipt and defrost in the fridge as needed. Once thawed, use within 2 days. Do not refreeze once fully thawed. Each 500g pack serves 3–4 people in a pasta sauce or makes 4 generous burger patties.
