Springbok Biltong — Wild South African Game
Springbok is South Africa's national animal and one of the most celebrated game meats for biltong. Our Springbok Biltong is sourced from free-range springbok that graze on the natural fynbos and Karoo scrubland of the Western and Northern Cape — producing exceptionally lean, flavourful meat.
The taste is refined and distinctive: a delicate gamey sweetness with a clean, almost herbal finish that reflects the animal's natural diet. Lighter than beef biltong but more complex, springbok biltong is considered a premium delicacy even in South Africa. The texture is tender and slightly finer-grained than beef, slicing beautifully.
Springbok is one of the leanest red meats available — extremely high in protein, very low in fat, and rich in iron, zinc and B12. Free-range, hormone-free and antibiotic-free. A true wild game product with impeccable credentials for health-conscious consumers.
Refrigerate on receipt and consume within 4 weeks. Freeze for longer storage. Serve at room temperature for the best flavour — allow 20–30 minutes out of the fridge. Once opened, consume within 3 days. A rare treat worth savouring.
