Chicken Drumettes — Peri Peri Marinated
Our Peri Peri Chicken Drumettes are marinated in a fiery, tangy peri peri sauce and ready to grill, bake or braai straight from the pack. Drumettes are the meatiest section of the wing — all the flavour of a chicken wing with more meat per bite and a single bone for easy eating.
The peri peri marinade is a South African and Portuguese tradition: bird's eye chilli, garlic, lemon, paprika and herbs combine to create a sauce that's simultaneously hot, citrusy and deeply savoury. The drumettes absorb the marinade beautifully, with the skin crisping up on the grill while the interior stays juicy and tender.
Grill over medium-high heat for 15–20 minutes, turning regularly until the skin is charred and crispy. Alternatively, bake at 200°C for 25 minutes, finishing under the grill for extra colour. Serve with extra peri peri sauce, lemon wedges and a cold beer.
Delivered frozen. Freeze on receipt. Can be cooked from frozen (add 5 minutes cooking time) or defrosted in the fridge overnight. Pre-marinated for convenience — perfect for weeknight dinners or as the star of a braai wing platter.
