Boerewors (boor-uh-vors) – literally means ‘farmers sausage’ in Afrikaans. Boerewors is traditionally cooked on the braai or barbecue but like any good sausage, can be cooked on a grill or in the oven.
Cook and colour on a medium heat, taking care not to overcook or burn the casing (turn regularly).
Remove from the BBQ with a small blushing dot of pink meat in the middle of the wors, and rest until mince is browned through.
Pair with brandy & coke, spiced rum or bourbon whiskey and enjoy right here in Hong Kong.
