Leaders in the pursuit of Grenache, they have embarked on planting and sourcing grapes from another 3 younger vineyards. The core of the 2020 Grenache is fruit from a Paardeberg vineyard planted in 2000 in the Swartland. Taking inspiration from the famed Château Rayas in the Southern Rhône, it is always light-footed and ethereal. “Charming aromatics of red cherry, plums, musk, fynbos, white pepper and a little undergrowth. The palate is not quite as light and fleeting as previous vintages and that much the better for it – good depth of fruit, snappy acidity and fine tannins, the finish gently savoury.” – WINEMAG.CO.ZA
