Our Lemon & Herb Chicken Drumettes offer a lighter, more delicate alternative to our peri peri version — marinated in a fresh blend of lemon, garlic, oregano, thyme and olive oil. The citrus and herb combination brightens the chicken flavour while the marinade tenderises the meat, resulting in juicy, flavourful drumettes that everyone enjoys.
Drumettes are the thick, meaty first section of the wing — perfect finger food for braais, parties and family dinners. The lemon and herb marinade is universally crowd-pleasing and mild enough for children while still flavourful enough for adults. The skin crisps beautifully when grilled, creating a golden, herb-flecked crust.
Grill over medium heat for 15–20 minutes, turning regularly. Bake at 200°C for 25 minutes for a hands-off option. The internal temperature should reach 74°C. Serve with a green salad, tzatziki and warm flatbread for a Mediterranean-inspired meal.
